static is always looking for submissions that deal with dis:connectivity, which we understand to mean the co-constitution of connections and disconnections in processes of globalisation. Submissions tend to be short, ranging from 1000-2500 words, and they should be written in crisp prose for a multidisciplinary audience, avoiding (sub)disciplinary terms and debates.
static welcomes scholarly contributions, texts written from a ‘pop’ science perspective and especially contributions in unconventional and artistic formats, like comics and scripts.
